These Terms & Conditions govern your use of teraifarms.in and your purchase of our products. Please read them before you place an order. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.

The website teraifarms.in and the brand "TeraiFarms" are owned and operated by Uttar Pradesh Agro Heritage, a registered partnership firm ("TeraiFarms", "we", "us", "our"), with its registered office at Town Area Ward No. 5, Unwal Bazar, Kasba Sangrampur, Khajni Tahsil, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh 273406.

1. Who we are

TeraiFarms is an FSSAI-licensed food business (FSSAI Licence No. 22726270000075, GSTIN 09AAIFU8266E1ZQ). We sell single-origin, GI-tagged Kalanamak rice and related products directly to consumers across India.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract under Indian law to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are ordering for personal, non-resale use unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

3. Products, descriptions and honest claims

We describe our products as truthfully and specifically as we can. Kalanamak is a natural agricultural product: grain size, colour, aroma and cooking behaviour can vary a little from harvest to harvest and from photograph to reality. Images on the site are indicative.

• GI tag: Kalanamak rice carries a Geographical Indication (granted 2012) for the Terai belt of Siddharthnagar and adjoining districts including Gorakhpur. We source from within this belt and use the GI reference honestly and substantiably.
• Nutrition: Any nutrition or health information we share (such as protein content or a low glycemic index) reflects published data for Kalanamak rice and is provided for general information. It is not medical advice, and we do not claim our rice treats, cures or prevents any disease.
• Origin & process: Claims about single-origin sourcing, low-heat milling and aging describe our genuine process. We do not knowingly overstate them.

4. Pricing and GST

All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise. Shipping charges, where applicable, are shown separately at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but changes do not affect orders we have already accepted. In the rare event of an obvious pricing or typographical error, we may cancel the affected order and refund any amount paid.

5. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted only when we confirm dispatch (or send an explicit order-acceptance message). Until then, we may decline or cancel an order — for example, if an item is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your location, if we suspect fraud, or because of a pricing error. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.

6. Payment

Payments are processed securely through our payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI or banking credentials. By paying, you confirm you are authorised to use the chosen payment method.

7. Shipping, cancellation, refunds and returns

Delivery timelines and charges are set out in our Shipping Policy. Because our products are sealed food items, cancellations, returns and refunds are governed by our Cancellation, Refund & Returns Policy. Please read both — they form part of these Terms.

8. Food safety and storage

Our rice is packed in triple-layer, oxygen-barrier vacuum packaging with a stated shelf life. Once you receive it, please store it as described on the pack — in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, and reseal or transfer to an airtight container after opening. We are not responsible for spoilage caused by improper storage after delivery.

9. Intellectual property

The TeraiFarms name, logo, packaging design, photography, text and other content on this site are the property of Uttar Pradesh Agro Heritage or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission. The GI logo and FSSAI mark are used under their respective terms.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt it, access it without authorisation, scrape it at scale, place fraudulent orders, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or refuse service to anyone who does.

11. Limitation of liability

We take care to describe, pack and deliver our products properly. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law, including consumer-protection law.

12. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including natural events, crop or harvest disruption, strikes, courier failures, or government action.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of them or your use of the site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
